Altium Designer PCB Design Service
We design in Altium Designer daily and deliver native, fully managed projects — not an exported approximation that your team then has to rebuild.
Native Altium delivery, not a conversion
A common frustration with outsourced design is receiving a project that technically opens in Altium but has broken library links, no design rules, and unmanaged components. What you get from us is a project your team can maintain: rules defined, classes assigned, variants configured, and every component linked to a proper library entry.
- Managed component libraries with parameters, supplier links, and lifecycle state
- Design rules configured per net class, not left at defaults
- Net classes, rooms, and xSignals set up so rules actually apply where intended
- ActiveBOM with supplier data and alternates resolved
- Draftsman fabrication and assembly documentation
- Output jobs configured so you can regenerate the full release package yourself
Altium features we actually use
xSignals for length matching
For DDR and high-speed interfaces, xSignals let us match across series terminations and connectors — matching the full electrical path rather than a single trace segment.
Layer stack manager with impedance profiles
Impedance targets are defined against a real dielectric stack, and the resulting geometry is enforced by design rules during routing.
Design variants
If you ship regional or feature-tiered versions of the same board, variants are configured so one project produces every BOM you need.
Draftsman documentation
Fabrication and assembly drawings are generated as live Draftsman documents that update with the board — not stale PDFs that drift out of sync.
Migrating between Altium and KiCad
We work in both tools, so we can move a project either direction. Teams typically move to KiCad to remove licence cost, or to Altium when they need variant management and stronger high-speed tooling. Either way the migration is done by hand where it matters — footprints and rules are verified, not blindly imported.
If you are weighing the two, our KiCad PCB design page covers the trade-offs from the other side.
Common questions
Do I need my own Altium licence to receive the files?
To edit the native project, yes. If you do not have a licence we also deliver PDF schematics, Gerbers, and a full fabrication package, plus an optional KiCad conversion so you retain the ability to maintain the design.
Which Altium version do you deliver in?
We deliver in a recent release by default and can save back to an earlier version on request. Tell us the version your team runs and we will match it.
Can you take over an existing Altium project mid-way?
Yes. We start with a project audit — library integrity, rule setup, and DRC state — and give you a written summary of what we found before continuing the design.
Send us your design.
Schematic, block diagram, or a description of what you need built — you get a fixed-price quote with defined deliverables, usually within one business day.
